Customer Service: Ms J.R. at the sharp end is very efficient

Owned for 14 months and used at least twice per week.
First, a couple of niggles; two tone grey plus white for on screen adjustments (hole advance and score card) could be improved and I have had to request more courses to be mapped than playing partners with other brands.
The rest is all good as with elderly eyesight I can easily read the screen without glasses. Distances are accurately mapped and the practice facility is a bonus.
It would be too easy to spend more time using all the extras such as number of putts and drive distance than actually getting on with one's game.
Wish List: A case with transparent 'flip over' hard screen cover so unit could be carried in pocket.

I spent a considerable amount of time reading various reviews on the Shotmiser site and elsewhere.I was looking for a golf gps system into which I could later incorporate sat. nav. Although some other systems could also fit-the-bill, I decided on Shotmiser G700 because of the positive comments, the large screen, and especially the praise bestowed upon the backup team. As I am getting a bit older and not so computer literate as the young folk of today I thought I might need some help in the G700 set-up, and so it proved. The team and Mike, in particular, were very patient in guiding me through the difficulties I encountered. As others have said before me.... The backup team are terrific.

I have used the G700 for a short time.I use a Buggy and at first was carrying my Shotmiser between shots in my pocket but with the screen being touch sensitive this changed the info on the visual. I now have the GPS handle bar mount and am very pleased with the unit.

Response: Thanks for the review Mr Fulton, you\'ll see that the unit touch screen can be locked for when placing this in your pocket by simply tapping the padlock icon on the screen. Tap again to unlock and use. Many thanks again.

I did my research prior to buying, nothing came near for easy to read screen, distance accuracy spot on. Ability to place cursor to position I wish to lay up my ball just perfect facility. I had a few questions to ask, shot miser team response first class and nothing to much trouble, a rare thing in today's world. I constantly recommend the G700 I use, after a round with golf friends recently two bought soon after.

I had a Sky Caddie and although my annual subscription was not due until November I used to get screen notification around the beginning of July. This always happened when I was using it on the Course which disrupted use of the Sky Caddie. After finding the Shotmiser on the Internet, reading the reviews and watching the online demo I bought it and have never looked back. It is a fantastic piece of equipment and with no yearly subscription easily leaves all other GPS systems out in the cold! Well done Shotmiser!

I purchased a Shotmiser on the recommendation of my Club Professional - on the basis that to improve my golf and Handicap I needed to record my Stats - a feature that is available on Shotmiser but not on all GPS golf devices or rangefinders.

Another excellent feature is to be able to plot your way around a course you have not played before-setting way points and identifyng hazards and distances.

The After Sales service is second to none

I thoroughly recommend this product if you want to improve and enjoy your golf

Only had one download problem which was down to me and quickly rectified by customer service. Have been using my g700 for about 3 months during which time I have cut my handicap by a shot 3 playing partners are thinking of buying G700s after we used mine on an away day, one of who always said he thought all gps systems were a waste of money!
Thanks, Roy.

The Shotmiser is a device I think will enahance any golfers chance of playing well. In my opinion however, what makes the shotmiser stand out from the crowd, is not the technology, there is probably not much to choose between the top end GPS devices, the after sales customer service however is top rate. Every time I have had a query, I've received a quick, personal response, that has always left me satisfied. Buy the GPS for being good, be suprised and pleased when/if you deal with the after sales team. Excellent.

Have now been using the Shotmiser G700 for about four months, I bought the larger screen because the eyes aren’t what they use to be and I think it is worth the extra money. Its sturdy piece of equipment and very user friendly,
I have downloaded about a dozen courses with no problem, but one course I downloaded was giving me wrong hole locations, so I sent an email to after sales which was answered the next day, they said that they would remap the course and get back to me.
Four days later the whole course was remapped and back on my G700. It’s also handy to review new courses before you play.
The package came with a trolley bracket which was mounted on my trolley horizontally, so going over bumps was constantly moving and finally broke, again I emailed after sales and it was replaced within two days now it’s in the vertical position and no problem.
Shotmiser after sales was excellent always answered my emails and very helpful and friendly on the phone can’t praise this company enough, definitely made the right decision.
